Lost Set, originally uploaded by uscfan.

You rummage and take whatever you can find! That’s what these two did. While wandering around the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii, they found the unsecured set for the upcoming Season 3 of LOST. Dharma food, water, peas… and an interesting cage yet unmentioned in any of the previous seasons.

About the LOST sets, I go to a college with a lot of Hawaiians (I guess Los Angeles is the closest mainland major city) and I heard from them that the LOST crews that make the sets and stuff on the island, actually do a good job with cleaning up after themselves. The Hawaiians say that they actually leave the place in a better condition then when they got there. Well I guess the crew would have to really make themselves welcomed there if they want to continue filming each season on the island.

    *envious*

What’s wrong with the dude on the right?

I’m almost postive the cage is near a tree near the Turtle Bay resort. One of the hotel staff members said LOST had used the tree and the nearby area for a few of the early episodes, and that the cage had been built recently and not yet used (This was back in April). The cage was made of branches with fencing wrapped arround it, presumably to keep people from messing with it. I might be wrong, but the picture looks the same as I remember it.

  5. What do you do when you come across a film set? You leave it the fuck alone!

I mean, yes, it was stupid of the crew to leave it unsecured, but damn, that’s just disrespectful. If the show was in production when they found that set (based on the other comments, I’m assuming that it was), then that’s probably a hot set, which means they’re potentially ruining a shoot.

It’s a good thing they took pictures that include their faces. That way the teamsters know whose asses to kick.

Tom also works in the film industry. He’ll back me up on this.
