Verizon directly leaks customer data, to existing customers

Verizon obviously wasn’t happy that it has not made headlines for leaking customer data. So, in a genius move this week, Verizon Wireless emailed a spreadsheet file containing the names, email addresses, cell phone numbers and cell phone models of 5,000 customers to 1,800 different customers. Apparently the spreadsheet was attached to the email instead of an order form for a Bluetooth headset, which was advertised in the email.

    Does not suprise me because all of Verizon’s work is out sourced and much of it is outside of the US – this is probablly just more ignorance on their part of not handling their own work – and your privacy is not private when you deal with them.
