AllPeers released public beta extension

About 8 months ago, we reported on an interesting & promising Firefox extension know as AllPeers. Simply put, AllPeers claimed that the extension would offer secure P2P file-sharing for Firefox users.

Still in the blue concerning the handy Firefox extension? Take a few minutes to preview the introductory video concerning the extension. AllPeers will allow Firefox users to create sharing groups for transferring files of any size amongst contacts.

The time has come and a public beta release is being offered for download at AllPeers.

Although I like the idea, and am a fan of the extension itself, I find the true potential of AllPeers very much controlled by Firefox. As we all know, Firefox has a way of leaking memory like a cruise ship having run aground. With improper memory handling, how can users expect to complete large file transfers without Firefox becoming unstable due to memory leaks?

Oh thank you thank you thank you! Much easier than dealing with ftps, or giving links or stuff like that. Even email (i hope. they may forget to click the toolbar). My whole family uses firefox, so it’s so useful!
