Magnetic Water
This post was published 3 years 6 months 26 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding. When I saw this video I thought it was fake, however a guy by the name of Dan Serena found a real cool way to have CLEAR water react to a powerful magnet. It was done by taking a cup of water, mixing in lime juice and spinach leaves, and letting it sit in a fridge over night. The Vitamin C from the lime juice extracts the iron from the spinach leaf so that the water is laced with enough to make it magnetic.
So what do you think? Real or Fake?
The fact that he had to do the expirement on what looks like a custom made puppet-theater set makes this seem fake. He’s probably moving the table the cup is stuck on, as well as the camera.
Fake, the shadow falls in the wrong direction… Just like in the moon pictures…
That’s fake!
Rather fake, you can see the tilt of the bloody table as the magnet is moved.
what you mean wrong direction? the light is from the right and the shadow is on the left. but i do notice the cup’s shadow is black while the hand/magnet shadow is faded
oh and only having a hand visible, and a “stage” like that is very suspicious. If it really worked and I was showing it off, I would have the decency to show my face and wouldn’t need to be on a dark stage, it can be in my kitchen for all i care, and it will seem so much more real.
Anyone going to actually try this on their own? This looks like something I would see tested on MythBusters. I love that show.
Fake because the liquid only runs up the side of the glass. It looks like the camera was locked to the stage and the whole assembly rotated to make the water flow.
Ahum … or you just tilt the table with the camera – job done.
Who would have time to invent magnetic water, and why ever would we need such a thing?
Alex, – I guess to make people like us talk about it.
If it were really magnetic, doncha think he would pick up a blob of it with the magnet?
Fakity-fake-fake-mother-fakers.
What would the world be without idiots! lol Now make magnetic pee so my wife won’t yell when I wet the bowl… lol
Three thing make me say it’s a fake :
1/ PopEye was wrong, spinach is actually poor in iron. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinach)
2/ Why the camera is so jumpy ? Do the cameraman suffers of Parkinson’s disease ? :)
3/ Why the waters surface is always flat ? According magnetism laws and distance variations between magnet and water do the waters surface whould not be a little bit curvy ?
its gone now :(
