Google’s Writely goes public

writely iconNo need to go scrounging for invites. Google’s recently acquired Writely – web based social text editor and collaboration tool – has gone public. Invites are no longer required for registration. Head on over if you didn’t get a chance to get your credentials registered when the invites were a requirement.

Fortunately, Writely supports your favorite browser, as long as it happens to be IE or Firefox. Sadly, no support for Safari users. Invite-only service definitely have a way of driving up the hype don’t they?

    It seems they started giving invites again because they received a very nice product review on CNET according to their blog.
