Over a year ago we reported (original forum post is gone) that the National Collector’s Mint marketed a Freedom Tower September 11th coin. That coin promptly received the smack down from NY attorney general Elliot Spitzer, on a technicality to stop the coin from being sold. Now it seems the National Collector’s Mint wants to market the coin again, but now newly redesigned from the lessons they learned. Yes, they still claim that it is made from the silver buried at ground zero, and yes it is still horribly tasteless.
