Apple & Facebook partner up

Almost tempting enough to register for another one of those social network things by the name of Facebook. Apple is partnering up with Facebook to deliver free samplers to users who are active participants in one of many groups catering to Apple.

Apple will provide up to 250 million songs to Facebook users who are members of the site’s Apple’s group page, which now has some 130,000 members, writes AdWeek. The effort is in part intended to increase the group’s membership. Apple will run banner ads on Facebook to inform users of the promotion. Apple will send a redemption code to group members to download each week’s “sampler.”

Are there any super active social network readers out there who manage to balance all of their MySpace, TagWorld, and Facebook lives in one fell swoop?

ahem… I hate to piss on a prade and all… but the itunes music store releases a “free” weekly sampler anyways…. or atleast they used to… Its usually some no name band or pop group singing a decent song that would wouldn’t pay for anyway…
