More MySpace woes

Seems that MySpace, after it’s six hour outage yesterday is having more trouble today. The site seems completely unresponsive flustering thousands of users.

However, I do like their sense of humor. Might as well play the PacMan game while MySpace feeds the gerbils who power their servers.

Dan, don’t hide from the fact that you maintain a secret MySpace profile ;) Actually I’m kidding. Dan and I would rather stare at paint drying on walls. I thought something was awry. The internet seemed to be a little quieter over the past day. I guess the constant sound of MySpace users clicking refresh really does have an impact on the world.

i guess the $580 million from rupert murdoch wasn’t enough to buy surge protectors, huh?

  10. Derek says:

What’s really going on is the heat in Cali where the server farms are located suffered damage. I believe Media Temple servers – which rarely go down – suffered from similar issues earlier today.

The influx of people that can’t understand that complaining here will not affect the situation is astounding.

I am the only person, in my group of friends, to not have a MySpace profile.

I don’t have one, because I see how much time they lose while doing absolutely nothing when logged on.

    It’s actually a little sad.

  16. Alex says:

It has been back today, I think it came back sometime late yesterday or early today

And I don’t know where the severs are, but I know where the MySpace offices are, they are near Marina Del Ray, one mile north of LAX, I used to pass the building they are in every day going to my college last year, but I since moved.

Saturday was the hottest day of the year in Los Angeles, even Downtown Los Angeles was at 99F, almost triple digits, which is a record for Downtown. The Heat caused power outages all over the county because of so many people running air conditioners. I myself did not experience a power outage yet this summer, even tough I live just a little north of where MySpace is so I figured their servers are not that far from me.

    But oh well.
