A few months back we posted about free wifi weekends at T-Mobile hotspots (Starbucks establishments) for existing T-Mobile customers. Granted your account was in good standing, T-Mobile would send you an SMS with the temporary login credentials to get online for free. Apparently the deal is no longer on the table? The URL for Free Wifi Weekends is no longer active?

I’m sitting here at a local T-Mobile killing some time and there is not a free access point in sight. Unless of course I stand on one leg and face my laptop out towards the near window.

It’s killing me. Coffee shops that fail to offer customers free connectivity after spending a noticeable sum on coffee and bits that will ultimately go straight to their guts.

By the way, I’m scratching my head as this woman next to me places an order at JCrew.com over the phone. It’s loud in this establishment requiring her to raise her voice a little bit for the phone rep to hear. I count 15 people in the vicinity that probably could have copied her entire credit card string including the security code. Some people…
