Opera browser for DS Lite

It’s coming. No doubt that current DS users were aware of the developing Opera browser to be released for the Nintendo DS. I can’t wait. View the rest of the screenshots showing the upcoming opera browser in the flesh. Now all that I need to do is a) find a local store that has a DS Lite in stock, and b) wait for this Opera cartridge to make it out to the public.
It looks as though the DS version of Opera will make great use of the dual display setup on the handheld gaming devices.
40$ for a web browser….hooray.

Some things have a price for convenience… Not at all surprised that there is a cost on this. Extra development is required for this small niche and the fact that a distribution network must be setup in order for customers to get their hands on cartridges.
just get a psp. i am on my psp now.
Well i managed to pick up a DS Lite today. Not surprisingly, the popularity of the device has proven itself as I did not return home with it. A friend managed to pry it from my hands before we parted ways :( I can’t wait to see this DS Opera browser in the flesh.
so when can we test out a rom of it? Unlike the headline here the pics make no mention of it being DS Lite specific, it just says DS browser so us with old gear will still be able to use it.

Actually the 40 dollars you are spending for the browser is actually being spent on the extra flash memory that is being housed in the cart. Nintendo did not want to make the mistake of sharing the system’s built in memory for web browsing like on the PSP. And the PSP itself makes a horrible web browser, I can’t imagine anyone using it for more then 5-10 minutes to actually do anything productive. (Yes, I own a PSP and no I’m not a Nintendo fan boy)
