If you don’t first succeed, try about 19 more times
After 30 years and 20 tries… 80-year-old Ruth Fell gets GED. Yes, 30 years and 20 tries.
Ruth began her GED journey in 1994. She enrolled in the Adult Literacy Program at the Greece Central School District. Through distance learning Ruth got her lessons over the phone and online. At 80-years-old, Ruth is a whiz on the computer. But that talent alone couldn’t earn her that all important piece of paper.
Yay, for somebody at that age to try and further their education. However show me an 80 year old that is a whiz on the computer and I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. Whats next Ruth, the online only University of Phoenix?

Nope, community college…
My grandfather’s in his late seventies and is a huge Mac fan. Up until recently, he used to write as the lead editor for some tech newsletter in NYC.
Where’s my bridge?
