yahoo and msn play nice togetherThis goes out to all the heavy MSN / Yahoo messenger users. The previously announced plans which would allow Yahoo and MSN messenger users to communicate with one another has finally debuted. According to Download Squad (see thumb), funtionality can be had assuming users download and register for the “beta” service(s). Yahoo users should go here, while MSN users wander on over here.

I know AIM is fairly popular stateside. I hear that MSN is fairly popular overseas. Who the hell still uses Yahoo messenger anyway? Does someone want to chime in wih their support of any of these services?

There is always some reason to have an extra account when you don’t actually need one.

    sorry dears….

Yahoo rules where it comes to contact management + KISS.

MSN looks too bloated and lacks the simple interface..

    Yahooo!

give me old school AIM… I don’t need animated graphics of hippos dancing, or kisses.. I don’t need to show you my cool new shirt over my web cam or hear your voice through my speakers… I don’t need to know the latest news while talking to a friend or need the ability to view their profile to learn more about them..

Old school AIM … simple… sweet… fast and resource friendly…

I don’t like viruses so I generally steer away from aol.
Yahoo – 1st. Generally the more stable of the bunch. Passport will die every 60-90 days for a crazy amount of time – guaranteed.
MSN – 2nd. I have some contacts that are steadily turning to Yahoo for reasons cited above.

    IRC – I never…

  9. Rafferty says:

Nearly all my contacts are MSN, there are a few that are only contactable via IRC.

  10. Mitko says:

    yahoo rules the world! :)
