		<description>I believe they quietly introduced the EduMac for a reason: it was meant for schools/universities and teachers only.  Instead, it got quite a bit of publicity and the public suddenly said &quot;hey, me too!&quot; to the reduced price machine.  Schools need a low-price Mac option that they can buy in volume.  With the discontinuation of the eMac, Apple had to do something to win the contracts.  So, instead of making a completely new educational Mac, they made a stripped down iMac.  Notice that they really didn&#039;t -kill- the EduMac, they just realligned the purchasing availablity to its intended audience.

Plus, the downgrades to the EduMac actually made me want to purchase the regular iMac for my classroom.</description>
