Ugliest Apple Store EVER!

Wow, What happened to this store? Was Steve Jobs struck by lightning? Even by Miami standard THIS is ugly ( We <3 Miami ). It looks like a friggin sandcastle, just picture Jobs on the pinnacle of that building screaming he is the king of the world. If they dare say in the press release that it is biggest and most beautiful Apple Store yet, I’m hurling stones at the 5th Avenue cube in protest!

I guess it’s ok? :l
not what i would have envisioned though! :]
It fits Miami but not very Apple like.
theres an apple store in miami?, and i have never visited?!… DAMN
It’s not open yet, obviously.
I’m going to hold you to the rock throwing. :D
maijc: There are, like, three. Now, anyway. One at Aventura mall, one at The Falls mall, and this new one which I suspect will be opening soon.
I walked by here a couple weeks ago when it was covered by a nice looking black cube-ish thing with the Apple logo, and I was curious as to how it would look. This isn’t quite what I expected, but it pretty much matches the architechture around that area which I suspect was the reasoning behind the design. Not exactly ugly, but certainly not how you’d expect an Apple store to look.
I sometimes wonder if Stevo Jobs is a Islamite, seeing the Mecca they have in NYC and now this arabic style building…
Put in some windows and slap on a coat of paint and that could look pretty cool…
It looks like its made of adobe, I wonder if that is what they were going for.
lol, i thought it was made outta playdough =)
Putting in new windows and new paint is too much work, they should just change the sign and turn it into a Taco Bell.
well not to disagree with the … lets say non-attractive… comments about the building (and I’ve even seen the building in person, I live just north of it), but I will say this, I’m glad that they’ve agreed to stick within the rules of the neighborhood. This Apple store will be on Lincoln Road, if part of the Art Deco district of Miami. It has to look this bad (atleast for an Apple Store)
This design would be more appropriate an Apple store in Santa Fe, NM.
yeah.
