Girgle – Google search for females

girgle google search landing page

Girgle kind of sounds like girdle doesn’t it? Nonetheless, Girgle sets out to be the perfect match for woman. A specialized Google Search portal aimed specifically at the Google user with a little more estrogen running through their veins. Nothing special other than the “fancy” landing page with a malformed heart and search bar that fails to fit within the constraints. Blech. Why do these sites even exist? I’m not even sure why I posted this? Maybe it may serve as inspiration for similarly designed crap[port]als? Post your suggestions in the comments.

    why does this exist?

Is google too difficult for women to use?
…no, that doesn’t fit, “girgle” has the exact same format.

    Is google not exclusive enough?
…no, that doesn’t fit, “girgle” is accessible by all via teh internets.

    I’m sorry, I’m at a loss.

I smell a swift cease and decist, and a cancellation of their adsense account in this sites future.

..and that will be getting off lightly

  3. Joe says:

Initiate cease and desist takedown notice in 3… 2…

  4. This is mind-bogglingly stupid.

However, I should point out that the “malformed heart” displays properly for me (I’m running XP/FF).

Yeah, FF shows up fine. I just don’t understand why……

While his blog may clarify his intentions, this continues to get dumber; here’s what he says: “Monday, July 10, 2006
    Why Girgle? What’s the point?

Many people may be confused regarding why I created this site. Actually, the answer is pretty simple: I made this site with the hopes of paying off our (my wife and I) existing debt of approximately $30k and save up some money to travel through Europe and eventually have a family. Even though the odds of accomplishing that with Girgle are against me, I thought I’d give it a try.

The idea for Girgle came to me while I was at home one day. I’m not sure what caused me to think about it, but I moved forward with the idea and had the site up the next day.”

I dont know why you all are so negative…I like it. The reason why is because it’s pink It’s google and it’s Girlie.

  8. Rafferty says:

The whole site has evolved into a “Million Dollar Homepage” style setup. 1 pixel for 5 cents. The slogan has changed from “Google Search For Girls” to “Girgle For Girls”. Seems as if the whole “Cease and Desist” went into action, so the author jumped onto yet another bandwagon. The internet is going to levels I never wished to see.
