Apple.com personal shopper
This post was published 3 years 4 months 19 days ago and its content may not be valid anymore.While checking out the new education only iMac (1.83GHz / 512MB / 60GB), I noticed an interesting addiition to the store view which displayed temporarily before disappearing.
It looks as though Apple.com, in an attempt to increase the value of online shopping, is adding a Live Chat option to store view pages. A great idea for potential customers who may have questions on the tip of their tongues. Clicking on the “chat now” link opens a new window for speaking live to a online sales rep. Note that the option does not display itself immediately after page load. Tested in Firefox and Safari.
Hm..as in actually IM chatting? Last time I chatted with an Apple Support associate regarding my Shuffle, he was continually rushing (Did you get it? Okay to disconnect? If you need more help go to…) me and that was the only support chat I could use (1 free chat per iPod)…
