Firefox extension puts Pandora and Last.fm in bed

Posted in AV, Entertainment, Random, Tech by Derek at 11:06 am

pandora lastfm firefox extensionAh yes, the joys and convenience of web based audio jukeboxes. Since I can last remember, Pandora has been a regularly opened page for me while I am away from my personal iTunes library. There’s something about Pandora which I have yet to find in any other music listening service. Maybe it’s the fact that Pandora magically reads my mind for the type of music I want to hear, maybe it’s just the fancy mathematical algorithm utilized to serve up audio. It doens’t really matter as long as the audio continues to stream.

Unfortunately, for Last.fm users, their Pandora listening habits are not included. Audio aficionados have nothing to worry about any longer thanks to a Pandora / Last.fm extension. Yes you guessed correctly. The LastFM Firefox Extension will automatically push your listening habits to your personal Last.fm account for tracking.

We thought it was a good idea to create, as you can read in our page though, we weren’t the first to do it, but we we’re the first to do it using Firefox. I didn’t care for the first solution because it didn’t always work right, making you miss a few songs from last.fm and sending your last.fm password to a 3rd party webserver isn’t my idea of secure.

    Thanks for the mention :D
