Oh, wait! I wouldn't run the SETI stuff, I'd run folding@home, or something that's actually beneficial. I have a hard time believing that we'll find direct evidence of alien communications with our current level of signalling technology. I'd rather serve the immediate medical needs of society. I just wish there was a distributed model for solving AIDS or sequencing DNA to find diseases. Lemme know if you know of any. I usually have more to say, but JJ said it all.
