batman case mod

The Batman Begins case is a project of mine that dragged out over a year and five months. It was completely finished a week ago. The case was painted black using PPG basecoat/clearcoat for the interior as well as the exterior. Cold cathode lights are located underneath the center piece (power supply) and there are also two hard drive cages which are lit up by clusters of LEDs (One logo for the old Batman movie and one for the new movie).

If I had not titled the post as I did, I bet you wouldn’t have been able to figure out that the Batman enclosure housed an actual computer. Other than looking as though it had come straight out of the Bat’s cave, Alex Wiley crammed an entire working computer into a Batman Returns case. Talk about dedication to the utmost degree.

Hey, I made a Batman signal myself you know. I cut out some cardboard to match the bat Signal and taped it over a black Maglight. It worked like a charm. Actually, I was planning on making one of those cases. Too bad I didn’t do it sooner, otherwise I’d be basking in the spotlight just like Mr. Wiley!
