UNEASYsilence visits London

God Bless the Queen, UNEASYsilence is on road in England. And when I say UNEASYsilece, I mean Dan (Sorry Derek, a HUGE field trip is in your future too). I’ve packed up my laptop (WHY must you guys have SUCH HUGE plugs?), getting a GSM cellphone (UGH – Longtime readers know my position on this) and hopped over the pond to the United Kingdom.
As I get a grasp on the language ( :P ), and understand that pounds are more then just weight, I am planning a few special stories for the site. Well, that is when I adjust to the time difference. I’ll try to keep to my regular posting schedule, but you can always expect great content from Derek, Chad and Chris.
If you have something to suggest I should do or see, drop us a line or leave a comment.

Hi I live in london and am a regular visitor to th site. I f i were you maybe go and see the london eye at night. Its real nice and the views are spectacular.
Well Cheers! I’ll check it out!
Wahey ur in my country now! are you anywhere near nottingham on your travels or is it a london only roadtrip?
Hey Dan, as I’m based in london too now where shall we start?
I think you gotta do these things.
1. Go visit the Houses of Parliament and watch our government talking (its free)
2. Go visit the British Museum and the nice roof made by our architect Norman Foster (its free)
3. Go check out the markets in and around Camden Town and Portobello Road (its free)
4. Walk down the Embankment starting from the Millennium Wheel all the way to the Tate Modern then cross the wobbly bridge. (its not very long)
5. Eat at Hakkasan. in Tottenham Court Road.
Have fun.
Well, my travels take me to all kinds of fun places. I wonder how many London based readers we have?
> I wonder how many London based readers we have?
I’m not from London. So where does the other guy come from?
*SCNR* :-)
Ah you lucky….I have to work or i would go to london to. Is this your vacation?
HA HA HA, Karl :P
ND- It is a well deserved and long needed vacation.
But a bloggers work is never done. HUGE thanks to Derek for holding down the fort yesterday!
i dont live in london, am in kent, about 40mins by train. There is the Jack the Ripper tour you can take. you meet at 6 under a bridge somewhere, and they take you round various places, giving you the story. http://www.jack-the-ripper-tour.com/
or, erm, tate modern if you like that arty farty stuff.
In no particular order:
Natural History Museum
British Museum
London Eye
Tate Modern
London Aquarium
Hyde Park
Soho – China Town
West End
The one thing I tell most people to do is buy a day tube pass (Zones 1-4) and tell them to be adventurous.
And seriously, it’s ‘than’ not ‘then’.
Derek, Chad and Chad…. is this a hint that I need to pick up my authoring pace? ;)
Whoops – It was REALLY early when I wrote that!
Hey Dan, glad to see that you’ve taken a vacation!
(Now where did we put the damn typewriting monkeys?!)
