The Beer Buddy

The Beer Butler gadget features a sliding base shaped like a football. When someone needs a fresh drink, you simply load it up and give it a shove in your drinking partner’s direction. The remarkable thing about this gadget is that as it approaches the edge of the table, it stops without going over the edge.
Guess the little gremlins inside that soccer ball, know where the edge of the table is.
This has far more potential for just the world cup. Just line this up next to your lazy suzan at the dinner table, and you have hours of entertainment.
How does it know where the edge of the table is?
sensors maybe?
That’s impossible. Even if it had sensors, how would it detect something it hadn’t arrived at yet? Just looking at it, it doesn’t seem like it has anything expensive on it.
My nephew’s toy car from McDonalds avoids the edge of the table and it probably cost less than a dime to make, just wind it up and it drives around and turns when it senses an edge.
