“I pitty the fool” who gets lost
The GPS navigation maker TomTom will be releasing celebrity voices that you can download and install on navigation unit. The idea is to charge $5 for generic voices (such as a surfer dude), and $10 for celebrity voices such as Mr. T, or Burt Reynolds. (I would love Joe Pesci!!!)
Can you just imaging while driving hearing Mr. T ‘jibber-jabber’ phrases like: “Pay attention to what I’m saying,” or “Mr. T gonna get you there in one piece … you gonna be there safely, or else!”
Somehow I think this will be a hit.

Eh, I read about this a few months back, and from what the reviewer was saying, it gets awfully annoying when Mr. T keeps insulting you when you decide to take a different route (or heaven forbid, you get lost). I think the novelty would wear off within a week.
That’s just what I want, some washed up actor getting condescending with me for taking the wrong turn.
Actually, that might not be so bad…
GPS unit with Pauly Shore voice: Hey, man, you missed the turn. You sure are dumb!
Me (to the GPS unit): What’s that, Pauly? When was your last film? That’s what I thought.
This needs Arnold Schwartzanager. “GET TO DA CHOPPA!”
How about Stewie from Family Guy? Or Eric Cartman? “Turn left to get some Cheesie Poofs! Sweeeet!”
Celebrity voices have been around for about a year for free. Nice of tomtom to start charging for official onesl…
