For $35 you can snag a webcam (is it me or are webcams getting REALLY cheap?) with night vision. Kinda does raise some questions about who would want to buy this. I’m sure this camera only has legitimate purposes. Come on doesn’t everyone need a webcam with night vision?

Besides the night vision feature this webcam sports a 1.3 megapixel lens, ensuring all your video filmed in the dark are crisp and clear. Also sports a built-in microphone to capture every little sound.

  1. I’ll take 12….for legitimate purposes of course.

  2. Paul Beattie says:

Yeah webcams are really cheap these days, I can remember when if you wanted a good one you were £100 easily.

  3. Sam says:

Legitimate uses include, but aren’t limited to:

Use by Vets and Kennels for monitoring boarded pets at night (could even be used to provide a webcam for pet owners to check up on their pets).

Use by homeowners to view entrances from their computer (or remotely) even at night.

Use by Zoos to track the movements of their nocturnal animals.

Use by consenting adults to record (and perhaps archive or broadcast) their own nocturnal activities.

  4. Ronald Poi says:

haha, for my nocturnal videos i use the Apple iMac iSight with this little app called “iGlasses”, wich gives me the night vision feature…

  5. Don’t forget that if you want a night vision webcam and you already own a regular webcam, you can easily mod it (by removing the IR filter) to give it night vision capabilities.

Of course, then it’s always stuck in night vision mode.
