Bill Gates to leave Microsoft, no joke

This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.In July 2008, Bill Gates will no longer be at the helm at Microsoft. Instead he will be heading up his charitable organization, “Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.” Already shifts have begun in management with the elevation of Ray Ozzie to Chief Software architect. Expect this to be a radical change in Microsoft, as it continues to evolve into the middle-aged software company it is.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has made significant donations to very needy causes, and I am glad the Bill Gates will devote more of his time to such a noble cause.
Update:I have retracted (and never will do this again) “Even though I feel Microsoft is the spawn of all evil”, since someone mentioned that this kills our creditability. I beg to differ, we always report the news and we are clear and disclose our biases. Matter of fact this site is designed to balance everybodies biases, and we have an open commenting system for anyone to voice their ideas without extreme censorship. This site was created as a living breathing snarky SATIRICAL manifestation of our collaborators about anything that pops into our heads, or about anything we find. It is easy to report the news straight, it is however harder to compose such ludicrous statements, crafted for humor. So the next time I say Google is not happy until it eclipses the sun, or the reason dinosaurs died is because you touch yourself at night, relax and laugh. Didn’t see this before.. but I strongly disagree with Myles. There’s nothing wrong with a bias… everyone has them, and they’re basically what this site is about..

But M$ is the spawn of SOME evil. Perhaps not ALL. The point is the BillG is going to spen more time being a really great guy. A really smart guy making a real difference. If he is even a 10% as successful at saving the World as he was with M$, we will find ourselves in a much better world.
By the way, I don’t touch myself at night, I do that in the morning.

I’m sorry if what I said came off as a bit harsh. I respect and understand that everyone has an opinion and has the right to voice it…but when it almost seems as if you’re coming out of nowhere I start to wonder.
If I’m a editor for a magazine and say “Ken Kutaragi is the root of all evil” than people will probably start to wonder why I said it?
Now I’m not saying what you said didn’t come from somewhere cuz I know it did. I RESPECT your opinions but quite frankly wished you explained a bit more…know what I mean? Or maybe I missed something?

Honestly you gave us a good chance to say where we stand. So when we something that ridiculous, it is a pure joke, and we will make that much clearer with a few new pages we are developing.
My history of ribbing Microsoft dates back to the VERY EARLY days of this site, so these jokes kinda make sense to long time readers. I look forward to many more jokes that more people will understand.

Thanks for clearing that up. Yeah, I missed something (didn’t know you were just messing). I like both Apple and Microsoft so I wasn’t trying to troll or take sides.

I love how everybody can call his or her site satirical these days and get their vaguely intelligent ramblings to pass for wit, what exactly are you satirizing? Note: This is not directed at Uneasy, I am a fan, this a more general point.
I see nothing wrong with stating how you feel nor believe it damages credibility at all. As far as I’m concerned we’re too PC in our language these days and that violates our freedom of speech.
While the B&MG foundation “may” make great contributions, Gates has enough net worth that if he REALLY wanted to do something to help the impoverished, he could, and still be worth billions of dollars. The foundation is a great tax write-off for him. Where was his philanthropical attitude when Microsoft was destroying small companies and forcing layoffs of their employees? Competition is one thing but Microsoft’s policy of complete domination is absurd. Among common users, there is still Apple and the Linux group but no one can doubt MS is the monarch of OS’s.
Let’s keep things in perspective with this news of Gates. It’s great a tiny bit of his $$ is going to charitable orgs but it’s serving useful, greedy, purposes in acclamation and tax benefits for him as well.
Does the tin man now find himself with a heart? I doubt it.
