Writing a virus as a job application?

A person “claiming” to be the author of the virus (exploit?) that took advantage of an unpatched vulnerability in Yahoo’s mail application has contacted several security vendors, asking them for a job.

Uhhhhhh, not the brightest move there. The security industry told him to get lost. Word to the wise, if you want to show off your “mad coding skillz” you could simply create a proof of concept model.

I have a feeling that after submitting a job application, instead of a job the virus author will get a lawsuit.

    actually alot of internet/computer security companies were started by script kiddies and virus writers who got busted and then went legit with their hacker fame … basically in that field its like saying “dude, I can mess you up.. but I won’t.. and I can show you how to keep others from messing you up… okay?… thanks for the money”
