If DRM or anything similar were more powerful, people would resort to buying CDs back as they can easily be shared (physically) and swapped. Let me explain my thoughts on DRM with the following analogy: Man buys dress shirt from store, returns home, notices a security tag that reads "only wear with brown suit or else shirt evaporates". Said man is limited to wearing that single shirt with anything as long as it's a brown suit. Now where is the true ownership? A waste of time if you ask me.
