Back in March of last year, Comcast signed a rather curious deal with TiVo to distribute tthe TiVo branded DVR’s. What made the deal so odd, is that Comcast was already distributing their own DVR, and TiVo has had a LONG history fighting the the cable giant.

However, it is being reported that Comcast is now prepared to test out HD TiVos, and even odder the TIVO software will be downloaded directly onto existing Comcast HD DVR boxes, without the need to purchase or rent any extra hardware.

Although no official statements has been issued yet about the pricing and availability, the pricing is expedited to be at about $5 per month, on top of the current DVR charges. No word yet on which markets Comcast will test the new TiVo service on, or how to sign up.

I cant stand my Motorola HD Dual DVR. Its a WONDERFUL device, when the damn thing responds to my Remote. It is sooo laggy with the remote about half the time, you press a button and it doesnt do anything, and about a minute later it finally does what you pressed , when it does that i mash the button a thousand times and watch it catch up and go nuts doing all the things ive pressed.

ANyone else have this problem with those boxes?
