Skype fresh for the pickings
Since Skype decided to give away free domestic calling, they have been a target or lawsuits. After Streamcast (who?) sued eBay over their Skype product, Net2Phone decided to join in and create a lawsuit of their own.
The complaint states that, eBay and Skype are stepping on a patent held by Net2Phone that allows a user establish a point to point connection over TCP/IP between two ‘processing units’ on the internet. Thats kinda broad ain’t it?
Honestly, I think as companies get larger and larger, smaller companies in order to survive decide to sue to simply get a cash injection into their failed business model. Is eBay/Skype at fault? I’m not sure, but I am more concerned about this recent trending and its potential impact to stymie technologies.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
dude the corporate world is turning into “Sue-a-palooza” between RIM, Apple, Creative, etc.
this is getting crazy.
not to mention if other people came up with all these technologies why did they flop so hard?…
there should be considerable fines for suing people in the corporate arena…
