Dell installs even more junk on their computers

Dell has decided that it will now include more tools to remotely diagnose and troubleshoot small business machine in the US.

The remote diagnostic tools had been used in pilot projects involving a limited number of technicians, Maher said. The spokesman declined to say how many U.S. service reps would now use the tools, but said it was “well into the thousands.” The expansion was due to “overwhelmingly positive feedback” from customers.

It is also interesting to note MOST of the problems Dell customers are having with their computer is with the JUNK Dell installs on their computers.

    You’re telling me.

    I recently recevied a new Dell Inspiron B120 laptop from a friend and had to re-install Windows to get rid of all the crap Dell preloads onto it. And then, I had to go driver hunting because the drivers weren’t included in the Windows instalation, what a fun 3 hours that was . . .

    My work seems on a Dell kick lately with their cheap prices. The latest one was full of crap. One of the reasons I prefer to build my own…

    My new Inspiron 6000 is just fine. No excess junk to report here. Sure there were a few things I deleted, but I sure didn’t need to reinstall Windows.
