For those that MUST have the latest and greatest: FireFox 2.0 Alpha 2 is ready for download!

By no means is this release recommended for any kind of serious use, but if you must have some of the new version’s features you will be able to take advantage of:

Links default to opening in new tabs, not new windows
Inline spell checking in text boxes (!!!)
Automatic restoration of your browsing session if there is a crash
Improved support for previewing and subscribing to web feeds
New microsummaries feature for bookmarks (Really interesting new feature)
Support for SVG text using svg:textPath

Download Now at your own risk :P

I love Opera, my only problem with it is that there are some sites that I simply can’t use Opera in (google calander for one) I switched back to firefox just for that. But I skinned Firefox to look exactly like my opera :D So it’s all good

Shot in the dark, but does anyone else seem to have a problem with the text on Firefox for OS X? Seems like characters seem to get crammed together a great deal; same thing with Camino too. Any suggestions?

  8. Blah says:

  11. Blah says:

Yeah I know, I’m not crying about it. but i thought, you was able to run 2.0 and 1.5 next to each each other. Wich you can only the extensions that not suported by 2.0 yet are turned of in 1.5 too.

If I re-enable the extensions in 1.5 and make a new profile for 2.0 i should be ok …. I think.
