Yahoo! Go – Frontrow for Windows?

Yahoo recently launched its Beta Yahoo! Go “service”.

Now you can take Yahoo! off your computer and put it in your living room for everyone to see. View photos, search for video clips and watch movie trailers on your TV. Plus, your own digital video recorder (DVR) lets you record and watch your favorite shows anytime for free. Be part of the Yahoo! Go for TV Beta!

The service aims to bridge the gap between your oh so work related computer with the casual entertainment of the family living room. Current Yahoo ID’s are reportedly integrated into the service allowing users to access much of their personal account info and web services from their own television. It’s Yahoo everything, except, rather than being constrained to the confines of your office chair, you can now enjoy Yahoo in your living room. Stream audio, share pictures, access web services and content.

I’m surprised to see Yahoo getting in on this media outlet before Google. Thoughts?

It actually is a good applaction. It integrates you LAUNCH choices in music and plays music videos according to that. For the first 30 minutes, It played all my foavorite music videos. The music aspect part is not going to replace iTunes, but still is pretty neat. I can’t wait to hook it up to my television!
