MTV’s My Super Sweet 16

Think of the most spoiled, uptight, bratty 15 turning 16 year old you can, and multiply it tenfold.
MTV gets a behind the scenes look at extravagant Sweet 16 birthdays thrown by parents with what seems to be unlimited resources for their “oh so precious” teenagers. I happened to catch an episode while a sibling was watching. One such conversation which took place in the episode:
Regarding renting a million dollar mansion for one evening
Girl: Like OMG! It’s perfect. I WANT!
Dad: How much?
Agent: Well we normally do $50,000 per night.
Dad: How about $25,000?
Girl: No dad! $50,000 is fine.
Dad: Ok we’ll take it.
The show is ridiculous. I can’t imagine a show getting any worse than this.
No shit. They should have drowned their kid while they had the chance.
Seen the show, and I agree I would love to kill every brat on there. There was one quote in a commercial once:
“…I can just ask Daddy and I’ll get it…..I get what I want….”
Horrible.
They are all whores in the making,end of story.
That show makes me sick,i can’t even afford a damn chewing gum and they take a fucking helicopter to the party.
My advice: don’t watch the show. I’m sure a lot of it is creative editing and even normal scripted acting. Either way, it is quite sickening to watch.
I’m almost convinced that it’s socialist reverse-psychology propaganda–that’s how bad it is.

As I sat and watch about 10 minutes of the show I couldn’t help but question how much of the show was scripted. There were parts where I thought that MTV had collaborated with the parents in order to create some sort of illusion. Then I realized that it probably was real. All I had to think about was one of my years during hs that had the exact same students with the “daddy will buy me anything” attitude. It is sickening. Think of the junior pre-16 year olds watching and ultimately lusting for something similar for their own lives.
Guaranteed that would never happen. Pre-nup would be signed before the first date.
yea I hate that show, and there is one on Bravo I think called “survival of the richest” or something, more spoiled rotten rich kids bragging about their trust funds… I honestly just wish that a stock market crash or something would wipe the slate clean of the rediciouslious abundance of wealth in this country just to level the playing fields….. from Ms. Hilton to 16 year old brats…. I hate em all (P.S. spent a good chunk of my life in poverty and work and knowledge is the only reason I have money now-a-days….just not fair some brat gets born into it)
I often wish I had money like these kids do just so I could start a few businesses and maybe fuel some technology companies….

How interesting that fresh comments hit this post. I was at Nordstroms the other day and my friend and I noticed these 11 year old girls with their mom. Both were wearing jeans that costs as much as 1/2 my whole wardrobe. I swear the clothes all had to be custom made for such small girls because I would doubt the designer created a line just for pre-teens.
I truly want to reach through the screen and bitch slap most of these spoiled, arrogant, ungreatful, self-obsessed, bratty, demonized, status obsessed, annoying, callous……….aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. They all need to be shipped off to boot camp, or a third world country, or perhaps just a place where they are treated like normal 16 year-old girls for a day. Seriously, I wish acne, poverty, and oral herpes on them all.
This show is an excellent representation of why modern society is going to hell. Sadly you can see people acting just like in that show, if you enter any American high school. They are brainwashing kids into acting like that. It’s very hard to find any normal teenage girls anymore. Dare I say smart and nice girls. (gasp) Blame this show. Also blame Bratz. MTV must be destroyed!!!!
I think we should leve them all in iraq and let them fight in stead or the air force people that we love and so that the now how its like not having any money and how to fight for your self with out money i think they need to be put in iraq with out money and make it into a tv show that would be funny lol and wach them fight the bad people.
some think it is a cool show, some watch with envy green eyes, some think it is stupid.. yes i have to say this is a stupid show, who cares these spoiled turn to 16 and the brainless parents throw fortune for whatever… ehm.. there are retarded people every where, why bother putting them on TV show??
