Now that Google Calendar has shown its face to millions of Google followers, it would only be natural to try and fill pretty interface with worthy content. Aside from class schedules, doctors appointments, important luncheons and meetings, and all important weekly (repeating) date to do laundry, there isn’t much to run with. While Google does offer a handful of ‘public’ calendars, there is still much to yearn (check your ‘Settings’ tab for public calendar options).

Thankfully, the Google Calendar does support importing iCal data. What a convenience considering the majority of iCal users (OSX) have taken the time to meticulously add seemingly random sharable calendars to iCalShare.

Check out some of the resources on iCalShare. You may discover that some Joe Schmoe may have saved you time by creating an iCal share for something you’re looking for.

Note: The option to import CSV or iCal files is under ‘Settings > Import’.
