However, I am out of ideas on what to do to celebrate. Since the site is all about the readers, I figured I would ask what everyone felt.

I would hold a contest where someone would have to make something UNEASYsilence themed, and then offer a prize for the best one. It dosen’t have to be something HUGE, something small would do.
Give away a free iTunes song code every hour for the funniest Photobooth picture. Post the hourly winner in a gallery (on Flickr or here)
Hopefully somebody will get you a spellchecker for your birthday. ;)

to celebrate, I think you should give ME a free macbook pro….. and don’t play around like you don’t already have one laying around……. I have seen the pictures!!!

Yes, there are spelling errors from time to time. Both Derek and I have full time jobs and do this in any free second we have. We have to have full time jobs because this site generates no revenue since there is no adverting on this site- did you notice that? We run this site for the user to enjoy, and to interact with other users, not to get rich. Trust me there huge bills because of the traffic on this site, and it’s all getting footed by me.
So when we do have the occasional mistake, maybe we were very tired at 2AM queueing stories up for the next day… Give us a break! :-)
Also, this is an open call to anyone who wants to be a featured writer. Have something to contribute on a regular basis? Drop us an email and we will consider you to be our fourth author. It’s harder then you think.
i must say that it was hard to find u guys ;) but really i need to share my story how did i found this wonderfull site. i went to google videos one day and i dont know why i didnt had any other job and i tryed by writting the word “yahoo” in google videos and the most interesting video that appre at the top results was how to download music videos from yahoo and it was super interesting for me because i was trying that for years and when i watched the video i didnt get it so luckely they were some sites at the begging at the video and there was this site and when i login and i saw sooooo much groofy and cool stuffs from that day im reading the site everyday and its really amazing because the info im getting from this site about the new things in the internet i dont think i can get them from ahywhere else! amazing really! keep on the good work!
about the 2 years just make something and give some prizes ;) that will be great (not that i expect to win something all the way to Bulgaria :) but still :) hehehehe
You and Derek should post your OPMLs on May 15th. Share the secrets of finding all the goodies you post.
You should have a “your favorite 5 uneasy silence articles” contest. It generates clicks for everybody involved, and is a fun way for you guys to revel in how much we dig what you have to say. :p
Now Chris, why would Dan and I disclose our secret to finding some of the gems we post up? Then there would be no content to post on the front page ;)

It took me 5 minutes just to type in my credentials! Im viewing the site on a PSP, and it actualy works!
