I saw the trailer tonight at theaters and actually said the same thing
i personally think that this movie should not come out.
The Simpsons is an amazing tv show, it should stay that way. The only thing that they could get out of a movie is more things to get away with, which i doubt they will, this movie will be rated pg-13 max, id say the producers are aiming for a pg audience, which would mean that all this movie will be is a long episode.
I guarentee that it wont be (much) longer then 90 mins, meaning, that you will be paying $9 to watch 3 episodes of the simpsons. personally, i know of a few dozen simpsons episodes that could keep me occuiped for ever.
i think i read once that years ago the writers said that they wont make a Simpsons movie until the end of the series, i cant remember that well though
