Time for a trip down memory lane! Thanks to some ingenious folks at WEB SE a web emulator was created for you to try out, granted a bit old Mac. The effort deserves a gold star, and worth a look!

Why not Demo It?

Hell, if you have an old Mac kicking about why not install System 7 on it.

Pretty good, though not as comprehensive as I thought. Still, first time I have seen one of these emulators. Thank you for posting the link!

    Wow, nice thing.

Umm… for those of you who have apparently never seen a actual Macintosh SE running… this isn’t it. It’s not any kind of emulation; it’s just a Flash movie that crudely mocks up some aspects of the old Mac UI. (”Alt” keys in the menus? Please.)

    Ah, the memories…

Rsfinn, that’s what I thought. It was just too basic and I could not do anything the author did not intend.

Well, of course you can’t have the real OS going. Have you heard of a website that runs an actual OS? No. Give it a few months? Eh, maybe. OK OSSE7 is probably is 5mb big or so, so maybe after tweaking you could get OSSE7 via the web with a fast connection.

No, but it would have been fun if it were real. I know there are some you can download. Someone told me about a Commodore 64 emulatorâ€â€Â?but there would be no way I could get my old software off the 5½ inch floppies!
