Battery Free Wireless Mouse

To escape this inevitable problem some folks developed a wireless mouse sans batteries. The mouse operates by drawing its power from the included special mouse pad.
wacom tablets have had this feature for years.
I also have one of those nifty Wacom “wireless”, “battery-free” mice that uses a pad tied to my laptop via usb.
Why bother having it wireless if it has to be anchored to one area? Poor idea really isn’t it?
Yay! Now I can use my wireless mouse from the comfort of my desk!
I think the benefit on this one is for people who have their CPU in an awkward place, and don’t wanna deal with a tight wire off the back of the desk, or the like.
I’m not for sure. But I believe Wacom Pads use magnetics, while this is simply transfering power a short distance.
They have now laptops that are like this too (still getting kinks worked out I think)
You may think, what’s the point if it has to be on this pad? With a laptop you could simply grab it and go then, no pesky unplugging and plugging in
On the mouse, the cord can get annoying, I am using a corded mouse, and I always find myself untangling it from my mic or headphones and stuff (I have a messy physical desktop)
Of course, a tesla coil but beam would be a better solution…but I don’t think it’s happening anytime soon
Or, put batteries in the mouse, that recharge while it’s on the pad, so no docking annoyance, and no battery worries make them last off paid for like…6 hours, that outta be good enough. Anyways end of Rant.
so what’s the point? either have a mouse pad or mouse teathered to your computer, either way your not getting mor than 3 feet from your machine
