So far this tip is for Sprint only, we are investigating other carrier options.

Sprint now allows a quite full functioned SMS filter option. Great for filtering out the ‘crazy’s’ in your life (Well only 20 of them).

To block messages, specific phone numbers, email addresses or email domains, sign on to My PCS (at Sprint.com). Select My Online Tools > Text Messaging > Settings and Preferences. You will find the option to block messages in the section entitled “For SMS Text Messaging Only”.

Fun Fun!

I have had this option since I got my Samsung D500, it has an option to add numbers to the ‘block list’ and filters all texts from that number..

    Dan –

I think this is the first time you could do it via the network, rather then the phone.

you can also edit your call tones now. With the choice of who hears what call tone based on mobile number and at what time it is. (day or night) Kinda neat feature especially if you dont want mom and dad hear 50 cent every time they call you.
