Get Pandora and Last.fm to play nice
Two of my favorite online music services can now play in harmony. While Pandora is great at recommending music based on favorite artists which you designate, your listening habits are limited to Pandora.
Thankfully Pandora users can now track their listening habits via Last.fm with this handy online utility. After the jump, log into with your Last.fm username and password. The next window will open a Pandora frame in which normal listening can begin. Previous tracks are then displayed allowing you to fine tune what tracks are displayed on your Last.fm page.

Pretty darned cool!! :) I never actually tried Pandora before tonight. It’s very impressives, though apparently they’re going to increase the amount of ads! Oh well..
[...] Overnight PandoraFM somehow got around and now it’s everywhere. It’s on the list of del.icio.us’s most popular links for today as well as many other sites. now if there was a way to package this up into a standalone app i would spend eve more time with pandora rather than my own itunes library.
btw.. jay, have you tried tagworld music recommendation system yet?
Sorry for the delayed response Derek, been having trouble with cocomment again (due to their recent troubles).
No, I haven’t really tried it out yet, with all of the other places where I get my music – mp3s, last.fm radio, now pandora, various other internet radio – I haven’t had a desire to try it out. How about you?
nope. i can’t say i’ve tried it. there are way too many choices as it is. the tagworld page as it is already sucks enough memory with firefox, i think i’m good as far as music is concerned.
Ahh, so the memory suckage on tag isn’t just me!? It even slows down IE7… of which, btw, I found a way so everything opens in tabs (I can’t find your post mentioning that it didn’t)… there is an option within the options for tabs. It has a single window mode and it works great.
i’m using the standalone install of ie7 which for some reason offers no option to access any of the menu bar functions ‘alt’. i’m have no issues since the browser is only fired up to test pages.
