New hack challenge, yields no hack

This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.In the wake of the poorly-reported hack of an open OS X box, in which a cracker, provided with internal system access was able to deface a Web site, a more legitimate scenario has been posted. This contest, hosted at the University of Wisconsin, dares potential crackers to take a shot at a more fair representation of Mac on the Internet.
Now, with the contest over – no reports of any intrusions have been reported. Shocked?
Haha, did Apple call them and told them to stop, because they were afraid? They are officially declaring they stopped because they were concerned about the traffic… but oh well, I AM glad that this _real_ test made it a proof, sort of, that OS X is still safe!
I’m glad this came along to give a real example of what a macintosh is like from the outside. I mean, who would actually give out their username and password to potential hackers?
