Free Wi-Fi weekends for T-Mobile customers
T-mobile is offering free Wi-Fi to existing mobile customers who have not added the HotSpot provision to their post paid accounts. Existing customers need only visit one of the 6,500 T-Mobile HotSpot locations to access the ‘Free Wi-Fi Weekend’ promotional page through their browser.
Does this really warrant a post? Maybe not. However, seeing this announcement only reminded me of the Starbucks / T-Mobile relationship in which paying expresso drinkers are required to pay for their internet access while sipping $5 brown milk beverages. Does anyone want to guess-timate how many expresso drinks it would take for Starbucks to provide it’s one free Wi-Fi access to loyal – caffeine addicted – customers?

Is it only for the weekend? If I could get it permanently or maybe for a month It would get me to trundle over to a starbucks.
This might actually backfire for T-Mobile in a big way. If Starbucks notices that they get a lot more customers with the free WiFi they may can T-mobile hot spots.
Thanks for the post!!! without this site I never would have known..
well that finally gives me something for having T-Mobile
why would more customers cause starbucks to can tombile?
Why pay for stabucks access when there are tons of coffee shops with free wifi.
How do they know that you are the t-mobile customer? Could you just use someone else’s t-mobile account maybe?
@ Nate MC,
They text you an access key to your t-mobile number, so eh, no.
nate users don’t pay starbucks directly. the hotspot wireless acesss is provided through t-mobile.
i do think sbux should offer customers free wifi… when will they learn?
[...] A few months back we posted about free wifi weekends at T-Mobile hotspots (Starbucks establishments) for existing T-Mobile customers. Granted your account was in good standing, T-Mobile would send you an SMS with the temporary login credentials to get online for free. Apparently the deal is no longer on the table? The URL for Free Wifi Weekends is no longer active? [...]
