Mobile Jabber client Mabber

Yet another web based messenger service by the name of Mabber.

Personally, I find the service an excellent, if not superior, addition to the growing market of web based instant messaging services [Meebo, Gtalkr, and e-Messenger]. Noteworthy feature is the fact that Mabber – despite being a completely web based service – offers subscribed users with an interface which rivals that found in my current installation of Gaim [minus file transfers of course]. Mabber offers chat history, status messages, address book-like functionality via right-click (vCard), groups, per contact notes, and a downloadable mobile client (JAR). #

Integration with AIM, MSN, and Yahoo. If you use any one of those protocols and own a mobile handset capable of downloading and running JAR files, drop your invite request in the comments. Priority goes to users with an actual interest in testing and running the beta service.

The first four users with a genuine interest will get the invites. No current invites. If you managed to get an invites refill after receiving your account and care to share with other readers, drop a line at tips@uneasysilence.com with the subject line Mabber Invites to Share.

Cool, this sounds really interesting. The design looks quite good, much better than the rest of them. Would like an invite for it.

  2. mw says:

invite wouldn’t hurt.. would like to test the mobile JAR version, as amost nothing webbased is good on a k700 :/

  4. Nick Starr says:

Just placed my order for my MDA (which I beta tested for 2 months), and was looking for a client which I would be able to run multiple protocals with. I would love to see it’s ability to work with Gtalk as well.

Thanks for the consideration, I will certainly be blogging the updates with the service and can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Another meebo user requests an invite. The damn firewalls at work keep blocking the use of any decent client, so I’ve been meeboing for a while now.

  14. Guy says:

Cancel on that invite, I was able to get one elsewhere, thanks though!

  15. Guy says:
