Microsoft is trashing competition

That a way Microsoft. If you can’t beat ‘em, trash them!

Microsoft’s Anti-Spyware program is causing troubles for people who also use Symantec’s Norton Anti-Virus software; apparently, a recent update to Microsoft’s anti-spyware application flags Norton as a password-stealing program and prompts users to remove it.

It seems like the protect-me-from-malicious-software anti-spyware / anti-virus software arenaa is becoming increasingly overpopulated. Microsoft is taking notice. Tired of having third party vendors cleaning up their mess, the latest MS Anti-Spyware program is taking the reins having users delete their current virus protection software. (jk).

This story reaffirms my dissapointment with MS and their future plans to charge a monthly subscription for users of OneCare. Microsoft builds operating system. Operating system is flawed. Microsoft builds protection suite to shield operating system flaws from being exploited. Protection suite will require monthly subscription fee.

Oh makes perfect sense.

This tactic isn’t that new, McAfee and others have always done things like this. The problem I have is that I have MS scan at like 2am, and it always said I am clean, then spybot runs and finds a few…

    Hahaha. That’s funny.
