Could you imagine being the customs agent reading off the following list to verify whether or not the adult films you had stored in the trunk were permissible?
the most recent Border Services list, which covers the final three months of 2005, shows that more titles were barred than allowed entry into Canada. Those rejected for importation included the dads “Give Me Gape #2,” “Horny Hot Dog,” and “Tonsil Train 3.” Among the productions deemed acceptable for Canadian eyes were “Total Access–Yes I’m Catholic,” “Uncle You So Big,” and “My Sister’s A Sex Dwarf!”
Swapping covers wouldn’t work, anything on VHS/DVD (even CDs) that cross the boarder from America to Canada or Canada to America is checked. I used to work for a video distributor one time we got about 100,000 Disney movies imported from Canada and they were held up in customs for 3 weeks while boarder agents opened each box and checked each and every single movie by hand.
We also used to import new release movies from Canada, every shipment would have a note in each box with this in it…
There were no child pornography films found.
There were no bestiality films found.
There were no films found with obscene penetrations.
Now I know what I pay them for when I buy stuff accross the board. Yup watching pr0n and making “sure” they are OK for the right-winged, catholic people of our southern neighbors. Man I should go work for customs :p
