Secret Service sent to punish 7th grader

Careful now, the Secret Service may very well receive orders to interrogate this little 7th grader overseas.

A seventh-grader who wrote an essay saying his perfect day would involve doing violence to President George W. Bush is being investigated by the Secret Service.

The unidentified boy from West Warwick turned in the essay on Tuesday, and his teacher alerted school officials. The assignment was to write about what he would do on a perfect day.

Thomas M. Powers, Secret Service resident agent in charge in Providence, said the investigation is ongoing but the essay may have been a “cry for help.” Threatening the president is a felony, he said.

As deranged as the little boy may be – also threatening to kill Oprah – shouldn’t a more appropriate punishment include suspension and / or psychological treatment?

    I’ll bet the kid deserves it he’s probably a jerk. I’ll bet all the kids in his class are lauhing.

    I can never see how people hating the government is ever news… It’s practically a given fact, regardless of which political party is in power.

    i know my geography. when i said taken overseas, i meant taken to one of the cia’s hidden interrogation centers.
