This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.A Google / Linux distribution? The rumors of a possible Google desktop operating system may very well be materializing for the general public.
Google is preparing its own distribution of Linux for the desktop, in a possible bid to take on Microsoft in its core business – desktop software.
A version of the increasingly popular Ubuntu desktop Linux distribution, based on Debian and the Gnome desktop, it is known internally as ‘Goobuntu’.
Google has confirmed it is working on a desktop linux project called Goobuntu, but declined to supply further details, including what the project is for.
Any thoughts or concerns regarding Goobuntu?
This could make linux more popular to people who know nothing about it. Also doesnt google already use its own operating system in its offices?

[...] “A Google / Linux distribution? They should release it in April. I think that anything that Google touches takes off–or goes down…like the Google Stock whose, “price plunged $36.68, or 8.5 percent, to $395.98 in afternoon trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market.” Regardless Google is going to do something and it’ll be good–hopefully. google blogoscoped also had this news but it seems they’ve got a reply from google that says they’re not releasing it.
