It seems like more and more frivolous “applications” [if you will] appear every week for OSX users (to bide the time of course). Although I do not have the luxury of working on an Apple computer for my daily computing needs, I remain ever vigilant and earful of any interesting news / announcements on the Apple side of the fence.

The latest to catch my attention is a semi-useless iTunes plugin called ‘Jumping Steve’. You can probably imagine what Steve does. Steve himself will dance to the tune of whatever track is playing in iTunes. If you’re so inclined, you can toggle between Mr. Jobs in his usual boring attire, or go for the classic iPod silhouette version.

Is it just me? Or would a comparable Windows alternative be one of those scantily clad virtual girls stripping above the taskbar? I just don’t see a home for Steve on the XP desktop.
