Lego MINDSTORMS NXT set

Is it called ‘mindstorms’ because the average Lego user might be turned off by the – most likely – “unfun” directions? Don’t get me wrong, I think ahem, geeks, will probably get a kick out of building one of these things.

The heart of the new system is the NXT brick, an autonomous 32-bit LEGO microprocessor that can be programmed using a PC, or for the first time in the retail offering, a Mac. After building their robots, users create a program within easy-to-use yet feature-rich software, powered by LabVIEW from National Instruments.

Does anyone remember the days of watching younger siblings playing with brightly colored bricks, then running by and kicking it all down? Wait… who does that?

    i doubt it. people like me can simply kick their legs and watch them crumble tp pieces.
