How-to: Get Windows Live Mail! for free – no invite needed!

This was recently posted on Neowin but then was deleted. Any way, the thing is here: You can get a Windows Live Mail! account for free. It’s a small exploit that was discovered by someone
Yes, it really works.
UPDATE: Instructions now below, since linked site is down.
1) Open up Internet Explorer. MSN likes Internet Explorer, and hates Firefox. (Damn Microsoft!)
2) For this to work, you must be signed out of MSN. Go to the MSN Homepage, and double check you are signed out.
3) Copy this URL to Internet Explorer: Right Click On Here -> Copy.
4) You should be redirected to another URL (Another URL to login). Sign in.
5) You should see the regular hotmail once signed in.
6) Once you see the regular hotmail, do Step #3 again. Copy the same URL above.
7) Click ‘Particpate’ on the bottom (Scroll down!) and walla!
P.S: It does work. Make sure your language/country in your settings is set to English, and America. I think Windows Live Mail! is for U.S. only, so that might be the issue. And be quick! Scroll down to where it says ‘Participate’ and click it!

Could someone let me know why I need a Windows Live Mail account (or at least why I should think about it)? Is it better than Gmail, 30gigs, or any other mail accounts posted here on the uneasy?
Nobody needs it, it is just a useful add on for those who actually like Hotmail.

I tried it, and the steps work, but I fail to see anything different. Maybe it really just didn’t work afterall.
Oh, it works – be sure you use IE, and you have english as your primary language.

saw the screen. clicked ‘join mail beta’, nothing changed. langauge is set to english. i feel like dopey fot not getting this to work. oh well, i’d rather try and get a yahoo beta account. ;)

well how do I access the live mail.. Is it through the hotmail.com link or there is a special link to that.. I clicked on Join Now button but dont know what to do next. It is another spam floating around or does this really works….

Does this new mail service has somthing better than Gmail? does it support POP3 or IMAP (gmail offer pop3 for free). Just let me tell you gmail is the ONLY ONE OFFERS YOU FREE POP3 ACCESS. COOL huh, so why try get Windows live mail ?

You cannot be invited to Live Mail, I have been using it for a long while, and I got it the proper way, and was not given any option to invite people, so stop asking. Sign up for it yourself at http://www.ideas.live.com
This is different for MSN Live Messenger though, I have invites for that.
