This post was published 3 years 10 months 22 days ago and its content may not be valid anymore.IBM officially retired OS/2 Warp from their product line last week which closes the book on what was the most advanced operating system when it was released in the early 1990’s.
I guess the question is why almost ten years later, it officially discontinues the product.
Hooo man this is bad. I really hope the OpenSource project continues, but banks are not of the OpenSource type… Don’t know what’s so bad about this? This means instead of a closed, barely used and thus fairly hacker proof OS we’ll begin to see ATMs running Windows!!!
